Ed Greenwood is a Canadian born fantasy writer, best known for being the creator of the Forgotten Realms fantasy game world, which was subsequently released as an open-ended campaign for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Ed.

As a prolific, award-winning writer and game designer, Ed has published over 400 books, as well as over 500 articles, poems and game products. He has been a judge for the World Fantasy awards as well as an editor for Dragon magazine.

 

Currently residing in Northumberland County, Ed can be found working at the Port Hope library, continuing a decades long association with the public library system in Ontario.
